Eli: [inaudible] ...not come directly from the staff here. The staff here has been absolutely amazing.

Schweiterman: Like literally you guys have seen, like, aren't they the greatest people ever-

Crowd: [cheers]

Eli: We had staff members who had to work in the morning who were literally here with us until about 5 AM who ended up catching a nap upstairs in a room just so they could work again. Counting funds, posting to the account, so we can open Saturday. That is where the money went; we didn't actually buy 500 Shrek DVDs.

Admins: We also didn't buy cases and cases of Mountain Dew so we could obtain socks, either. We also didn't buy back-up ball pits.

Crowd: Cocaine!

Admin: Cocaine wasn't necessarily true, but... We had to be awake somehow, so... Sorry about the cocaine.

Schweiterman: I'm gonna point this out now...my name is the one on the letter we posted online that said we owed the hotel money. The reason there's so much blank space is that there's people at this hotel's names on the piece of paper, and they don't deserve shit so we kept it offline. So, like, that's what's in the white space; it's not like secret secret, like "ok, I was lying about the last sentence, I'm a shitty person." Like, that's not what it was. Like, it's just to protect the people who are involved and who were great and who were wonderful because they don't deserve to see any of this backlash online that we're seeing, basically. So...and we would like to say, you know, some people called the hotel last night - or Friday night. Front Desk was very confused, because Front Desk has nothing to do with...anything. Like, they're Front Desk; they're completely different. They're like, college-aged, and they're like, "I dunno"...they were trying to protect you guys, so...they were trying to give all the information they could but they didn't have the full story. If you call the hotel now, they are now giving out affirmations, like, they had a staff meeting about it...like, if you ask at the front desk and give 'em a call, whatever...try not to swarm them all at once, but like, the hotel has, like, realized that was a thing and they're like "oh, no, we'll tell them now." So...

Eli: Another thing, I know that part of the confusion is because there were two different numbers going around. People heard 17,000 and they heard 20,000 and it sounded like we had jacked up the number. I would like to explain what that action was. [coughs] Given that it was so late at night when it was asked for, the number was 20,000, and we had 3,000 that we could liquidate immediately. Obviously, we couldn't walk into a bank at nine a clock at night. It's not a thing, unfortunately. So anything over that that could have been liquidated, we did not have access to at the time. It wasn't a possibility. So 17,000 was the remainder. The 20,000 never got out. Afterwards, it sounded like we changed it up when actually we had changed it down. So that's why there were two different numbers floating around. The - there were questions of how we possibly got PayPal to liquidate all the donations to the hotel. I, for some, I don't, can't even explain why... they sent me a debit card to my PayPal. I didn't ask them do; I didn't know why. I was just like, "Oh, okay. Well...cool." Like, honestly, I still don't know why they sent me a debit card to my PayPal, but we were able to transfer the funds to me, so the hotel was able to run my PayPal card to give them their funds immediately. It is literally like the only way to use PayPal funds immediately, and the hotel was very kind in the fact that on the PayPal debit cards, there's a 3,000 dollar swipe limit a day, and they were willing to do it over the course of several days. Seeing the amount that was there, they agreed to take it day by day at 3,000 at a time, and that is why we were able to use those funds. Because I understand how that probably looked for anyone who uses PayPal, because it takes weeks. It's the slowest process in the world. It was only the fact that I had a PayPal debit card that really got us out.
